Steve is inspired by the open spaces of the eastern slopes of the Sierras and the Southwest. Here one can get away from the fast paced urban life and be the only human for a hundred miles. The only sounds, the only rhythms are that of nature. Its raw beauty is inspirational and picturesque. Black and white photography is fitting as it is demanding, stark and pure, akin to the environment in which these photos were taken.
